A Poem by Grace

Grace, a member of the Jerito Self Help Group, wrote a beautiful poem about Kenya Care. It gives a good picture of how the women view Kenya Care. When she joined Kenya Care, she didn’t even dare answer a question, was depressed and didn’t see a future for herself and her family.

Now she still looks like a schoolgirl, but with the help of Kenya Care’s classes and guidance, Grace has grown into a truly strong woman, an example to many. Besides being the mother of her own 2 children, she works as a tailor and a hairdresser. And in addition she is very talented, she writes poetry and acts like the best. For this, we are extremely proud of Grace Fondo.

Together with her fellow group members, she presented this poem during World Aids Day. Chapeau to Grace and all the other members of the Jerito Self Help Group.
